“At Subaru, we’re committed to helping deserving pets find loving homes, and bringing adoptable animals to auto shows is one of our favorite traditions,” said Kerry Ann Nolan, Auto Shows and Events Manager, Subaru of America, Inc. “We’re excited to host our adoption event at the Oklahoma City Auto Show. We encourage all attendees to stop by, meet some furry friends and consider adopting a new pet.”

As the largest corporate sponsor of the ASPCA®, Subaru has donated over $42 million to the organization and impacted the lives of more than 250,000 pets nationwide. According to ASPCA, approximately 6.3 million animals enter shelters each year. The goal is for the adoption events to raise awareness for the animals in need of a loving home and ideally unite a companion pet with a loving lifetime owner.

Second Chance Animal Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit, is a no-kill animal shelter that runs solely on donations. The facility receives no city, state, or federal funding. The primary focus of the shelter is to save dogs and cats from euthanasia throughout Oklahoma. With adoption, enrichment, spaying/neutering and education, the facility strives to provide excellent adoption services and offers a second chance for animals in need.

“This will be our third year with Subaru at the Oklahoma City Auto Show, and we are incredibly grateful to partner with such an amazing program,” Rose Grimm, shelter director of Second Chance Animal Rescue, said. “The Subaru Loves Pets initiative has helped us find homes for more than 60 dogs and is one of the best partners that we have at supporting animals and animal adoption.

“We love how passionate Subaru is about helping homeless animals find their fur-ever homes and we can't wait to see everyone there,” Grimm added.

The Oklahoma City Auto Show will feature a variety of entertaining activities for adults and kids. The 106th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Auto Show will offer the Classic Car Drive-In Theatre with daily showings of “Back to the Future” along with the 1946 Clipper Flxible Airporter.
